Juice & Jam

A shape-shifting identity for the face-to-face brand representatives

A grid of A6 postcards with a series of illustrated ampersands

When you spot brightly branded people selling subscriptions to Hello Fresh and Tails.com, chances are you’ve just bumped into Juice & Jam. They’re a direct sales and marketing agency, which means they promote clients face-to-face with their audiences at conferences, shopping centres, and events. But with Juice & Jam spending so much time representing clients’ brands, their own had been left behind.

Thinking

From planning and coordinating event staff to designing exhibition stands, Juice & Jam work for all kinds of companies in a lot of different ways. So, we needed to create a visual brand that’d reflect both their varied clients and their huge range of services. The brand collaborates really closely with clients, taking on their identities at events and on campaigns, so the idea of partnership also had a lot of potential. That brought us to a symbol: the ampersand.

Outcome

Expressive ampersands form the colourful core of Juice & Jam’s new brand. We designed, illustrated and photographed a whole library of symbols to cover different messages and services and show off Juice & Jam’s versatility. And with a bespoke version of Juice & Jam for big partnerships – from the illustrated veggie ampersand for HelloFresh, to a neon symbol for bulb – it makes their customers feel pretty special too.

We summarised the flexible new identity in a succinct set of guidelines showing the internal team how to use the new logo, colours, type, and photography, then sorted their Microsoft Office templates and web design. It’s everything they need for their next big pitch.
