Skate and chew gum

Two design students Hugo Maupetit and Vivian Fischer have developed a concept for turning discarded chewing gum into colourful skateboard wheels.

 

Pole flag

This flag inspired by Pride, symbolising a community and aiming for emoji adoption, has been designed to represent and protect Antarctica. Whilst we’re talking flag design, check out this excellent 99% Invisible podcast.

Dove | Reverse Selfie

Studies show that by age 13, 80% of girls distort the way they look online. Dove have launched a campaign (with images by Sophie Harris-Taylor) highlighting the damage caused by heavily-edited selfies on social media.
