Engineers for Pioneers
A flexible brand that explores a new way of working
Full-time contracts don’t work for everyone. More and more people want flexible jobs that fit better with everyday life, while small businesses and startups rarely have the money for lots of permanent employees. Engineers For Pioneers fills that gap, matching people who’d rather work flexibly with employers needing part-time or temporary talent. We created their brand.
Thinking
Engineers For Pioneers helps people and businesses see what they can do for one another. It’s a two-way street: workers providing talent for small companies, and those small companies offering flexible employment for workers. That word, ‘for’, kept cropping up. It snappily sums up the interconnected heart of Engineers for Pioneers, and we could see it’d make a great device.
We also thought about how best to get across the network’s offering. It’s kind of a complex concept, and we had to make it appeal to both businesses and talent. To make sure the brand’s differentiators didn’t get lost, it’d need to be very clear, bold, and direct.
Outcome
Our bright, punchy brand gives Engineers for Pioneers confidence and attitude. The ‘For’ device provides loads of opportunities to explore the connection between workers (engineers) and businesses (pioneers) and make the brand proposition crystal clear. It’s brilliant for advertising and social messages too, and it can be tailored to both audiences. From logos to type to illustration, we captured the whole lot in detailed brand guidelines that show the team how to get it right.
“Lark are a real partner. From the first conversation they got right to the heart of what we were looking to achieve for our brand. They never settle with second best and are always looking for the alternative solutions. It’s fantastic to work with Lark. They know that it’s only through great relationships that the best results are delivered and it shows!”
